 Summer Leagues

This is a 3D league with ASA scoring (12s and 14s are in play) shot on our range. Participants shoot 12 targets in the first round then scores are grouped with other similar scores to create flights and/or divisions. For the second round, participants in each flight/division will shoot an additional 10 targets together. Then each participant’s first and second round scores are added together to create their total score.  The participant with the highest total score in each flight/division wins money for the night.

We keep everybody’s score cards so the total scores can be recorded. We are requiring a minimum of 8 scores to qualify for the final shoot off. At the end of the league we add together the 8 highest scores from each participant and use those totals to create flights/divisions for the final shoot off.  The final shoot off will be during the member shoot/BBQ event. The participant with the highest score in each flight/division of the final shoot off will win a year-end prize.

Everyone is invited! Whether you will be attending every week, 8 weeks to qualify for the final shoot off, or just once, we still want you to come!

All skill levels are welcome! Our flighting system insures everyone has a chance to win since you will be competing with only those at a similar skill level.

A board member present at the shoot will be willing to assist first-timers with scoring and range rules if requested. Attending a league night is a great way to get introduced to the sport of field archery and make new friends!

$10.00  ($5 goes towards the pot for nightly winners and $5 goes to the club to replace vitals in targets)

Banquet.png

Banquet

A major purpose of the banquet is to recognize our bowhunters and volunteers, but there are also games, prizes, raffles, silent and live auctions. It is an opportunity for our members to enjoy a meal, hang out with friends, swap stories, and potentially go home with some cool stuff.

The Big Game Awards are given out by South Fork Archers to recognize our bowhunters. In order to be eligible for the big game awards you must be a current SFA member, the animal must be scored, and taken in the state of Idaho under Pope and Young rules of fair chase and in accordance with all Idaho Fish and Game laws using archery equipment. There are Big Game Awards for: Best of species, male bowhunter of the year, female bowhunter of the year and youth bowhunter of the year.  The complete list of eligible species can be found on page 5 of the South Fork Archers Bylaws. Only Idaho native species are eligible for big game awards, but the Big Game Chairman may choose to give special recognition to any other harvest taken with archery equipment by a South Fork Archers member. We also provide all bowhunters an opportunity to show off their harvests regardless of species or scoring in our slide show.

We reward our volunteers because without their sacrifices and efforts we wouldn’t have the club we have today. We honor our participation points at the banquet and have a separate raffle table solely for those who have taken the time out of their busy schedules to help support our club. We recognize one individual who has stood out from the crowd and they are honored with the “Bill Reseigh” award. This award is for the individual who has put forth the most time, effort and all in all who we feel has sacrificed the most for the benefit of the club.

Contact a board member if you have goods or services you would like to donate as raffle or auction items.
